Expert coaching day for talented young climbers.

The BMC National Academies are held in the autumn and January of each year. English and Welsh children who come in the top 12 places in age categories B, C, D and E of the Youth Climbing Series (YCS) National Final are invited to two National Academies.

The purpose of the days is to provide expert coaching to the children to help them develop their talent further.

The BMC (British Mountaineering Council) is the representative body that exists to protect the freedoms and promote the interests of climbers, hill walkers and mountaineers, including ski-mountaineers.
