The next London and South East Area Meeting takes place on October 17th, at 7pm (the event starts at 7.30), at the Alpine Club, Charlotte Road, London. (See below for a link to a map etc.) There will be a bar, free pizza, and a talk by local activist Mick Cooke afterwards.
The Area Meetings are your way as a BMC member to keep up to date on what we are doing for you, and for you to influence the BMC’s work. Topics on the agenda this month include the BMC’s volunteer recruitment drive: if you are interested in getting involved with the BMC at a local or national level – from being the area secretary, organising meets, and being a competition judge, through to being the treasurer and a director of the BMC – please come along. There will be a number of other topics to discuss too: if you have a view, this is your opportunity to make it count.
After the meeting (which usual lasts an hour or so), there will be free pizza and a bar (you buy your own beer), followed by an educational and entertaining talk by Mick Cooke, a local activist, on his adventures climbing in Lundy.
There’s no need to register or tell anyone you’re coming: just turn up.
