The BMC FUNdamentals of Climbing workshops are aimed at anyone who coaches or leads climbing sessions, indoors or outside.

The FUNdamentals of Climbing 1 focuses on the important themes that underpin climbing movement  The BMC also delivers the FUNdamentals of Climbing 2 and the FUNdamentals of Climbing 3 workshops. All three workshops form part of the training pathway for Mountain Training's Assistant Climbing Coach  and Climbing Coach Awards.

The main topics covered at this workshop are:

agility, balance and coordination
awareness of the body’s centre of gravity
the relationship between weight transfer and economy of movement
