The BMC FUNdamentals of Climbing workshops are aimed at anyone who coaches or leads climbing sessions, indoors or outside.
The FUNdamentals of Climbing 2 builds on the FUNdamentals of Climbing 1, which is a pre-requisite for attending this workshop. The second workshop looks at how specific techniques can be coached. The BMC also delivers the FUNdamentals of Climbing 3 workshops. All three workshops form part of the training pathway for Mountain Training's Assistant Climbing Coach and Climbing Coach Awards.

precise and accurate footwork
ways of using different handholds
body positioning and use of straight arms on vertical and slightly overhanging rock
techniques to climb steep rock
