The June meeting of the BMC London & South East Area takes place on Wednesday 5 June, starting at 7.30pm (doors open at 7pm for drinks), at the Alpine Club, Charlotte Road, London.
Gareth Mottram will be giving a slideshow on his expeditions to the Tien Shan mountains after the usual opening discussion and pizza!
The area meetings are your way as a BMC member to keep up to date on what we are doing for you, and for you to influence the BMC’s work.
After the meeting (which usually lasts an hour or so), there will be free pizza and a bar (you buy your own beer). There will also be a slideshow: The next Area meeting takes place on 5th June, at 7pm, at the Alpine Club! There'll be the usual discussion about current BMC news and issues etc., followed by free pizza, a cash bar, and a speaker.
This time Gareth Mottram will be talking about an expedition to the Western Kokshaal-too range in the Tien Shan mountains, on the boundary between Kyrgyzstan and China. The expeditions featured a 25km man-hauling epic and radical weight loss regime!
There’s no need to register or tell anyone you’re coming; just turn up and get involved.
