A special meeting of the South West Area will be held on Thursday 9 May, starting at 7pm, at the Nova Scotia in Bristol, to discuss the draft BMC Position Statement on Drilled Equipment (updated).

The document sets out the process and main factors to be considered in Area discussions about drilled equipment policies. (attachment updated 09/05/13)

 

The meeting will also discuss proposals by Longleat Estate for a range of potential regeneration projects at Cheddar Gorge, including the possibility of a cable car and education centre.

The BMC (British Mountaineering Council) is the representative body that exists to protect the freedoms and promote the interests of climbers, hill walkers and mountaineers, including ski-mountaineers.
