The January meeting of the BMC Midlands Area will be held at the Old Edwardian's Sports Club in Solihull on Thursday 16 January 2014, starting at 7.45pm, and includes a free lecture by BMC CEO Dave Turnbull on his recent trip to Patagonia.
Come along to Solihull for our quarterly gathering of Midlands climbers and walkers. The evening includes a discussion of local issues, a bar, food and slideshow, so it should be a good night out. It’s also the Area AGM, so you can put yourself forward for one of the volunteer posts if you’d like to get more involved in the work of the BMC.
We’ve got BMC CEO Dave Turnbull to entertain you with tales of his trip to the legendary Fitzroy / Cerro Torre massif last year, which coincided with one of the best spells of good weather Patagonia has seen in a decade - and he has the photos to prove it.
All are welcome. Entry is FREE, food will be provided, and the club has a licensed bar.
Thanks to Solihull Mountaineering Club for hosting the meeting.
