BMC ambassador Shauna Coxsey is the special guest speaker at the first Longshaw Climbing Festival on Sunday 7 September 2014 at the Moorland Discovery Centre, Longshaw, near Sheffield.
Shauna was runner-up in the 2014 IFSC Bouldering World Cup and is also pushing the standards of female bouldering outdoors.
About the lecture
Shauna says: “This past year I have met some of the biggest goals in my life. Winning 2 World Cup golds and climbing V14 are achievements that I dreamed of from such a young age but only considered possible very recently. This year has been a roller coaster of emotion. I want to share the story of my experiences travelling all over the world, competing on the world stage and rock climbing when I got the chance. I'm going to including all of the high's the moments that make every hour spent training worth it and the lows that make you want to go home and get tucked up in your own bed.”
