An event to inform those considering going to the greater ranges for the first time and also for those with more experience wanting to top up their skills and knowledge.
The day-long seminar will be in two parts.
The first part of the day (10am - 4pm) will consist of a series of workshops looking at the nuts and bolts of planning a trip, including:
- Where to go
- How to organise trips
- How to source grants and sponsorship
- How to stay healthy
- How to deal with altitude and acclimatisation
- Lightweight gear
- How to use IT and Google Earth
- And more
The second part of the day (from 4pm onwards) will be a series of inspiring lectures by people who have recently been on trips and expeditions to inspire and also share information about the areas they have visited.

Cost: There are two options here. 1. All day, or 2. Evening only:
- All day (includes all workshops & lectures, light lunch, tea and coffee) = £60
or
- Evening lectures only (includes tea and coffee) = £40
