The BMC Lakes Area Meeting will be held at the Lakeland Climbing Centre in Kendal on Wednesday 22 April 2015, starting at 7:30pm. Amongst the discussions, we’ll be asking ‘what do hill walkers want from the BMC?’
Come along to our quarterly gathering of Lakes climbers and walkers, to discuss the latest issues and get involved in the work of the BMC.
The area meetings are run by volunteers and are your chance to join in with debate and influence decisions about what happens in the Lakes as well as the rest of the country.
The BMC – the natural home for hill walkers
Our new hill walking strategy aims to make the BMC the natural home for hill walkers. BMC hill walking development officer Carey Davies and BMC CEO Dave Turnbull will present our plans for hill walkers, asking the question - ‘what do hill walkers want from the BMC?’
All are welcome. Food (courtesy of the BMC) will be available from 7:00pm in the CrazyClimb Room, and the meeting will start asap after 7:30pm in the La Sportiva Room on the second floor of the centre.
