The BMC Peak Area Meeting will be held on Wednesday 3 June 2015, starting at 8.00pm, at The Winking Man pub on the A53 Leek to Buxton road.
Come along to our regular gathering of Peak climbers and walkers, to discuss the latest issues and get involved in the work of the BMC. This month's meeting starts at 8.00pm, so there's time to get in a walk or climb beforehand.
Roaches guided walk and refreshments at the hut
Peter and Cath, our two hill walking representatives, will lead a guided walk around The Roaches area ending at The Don Whillans Memorial Hut. Meet at the south end of the Roaches at the Roaches Gate by the car parking lay-by (SK 004 621) to start walking at 6.30pm. The hut will be open from 7.00pm for a nosey around and a cup of tea/coffee, and of course...cake.
The area meetings are run by volunteers and are your chance to join in with debate and influence decisions about what happens in the Peak as well as the rest of the country.
Representatives from the Staffordshire Wildlife Trust will be attending the meeting to give us a review of their work in 2014/15 and telling us their future plans. There will be the opportunity to ask them questions about their work.
