The 208th meeting of the BMC Yorkshire Area will be held in the Garden Room at The Wheatley Arms in Ben Rhydding on Monday 8 June 2015, starting at 7.30pm.
Come along to our regular gathering of Yorkshire climbers and walkers. The evening includes a discussion of local and national issues, a slideshow, a bar and food, so it should be a good night out.
Chris Townsend talk
Prolific long-distance walker, renowned writer and BMC hill walking ambassador Chris Townsend will be giving a presentation on his 700-mile hike of Scotland’s watershed, a ‘ribbon of wildness’ running through mostly mountainous terrain from the border with England to Cape Wrath.
The area meetings are run by volunteers and are your chance to join in with debate and influence decisions about what happens in Yorkshire as well as the rest of the country.
All are welcome. Food will be provided.
