A 10-mile walk along Froggatt Edge, visiting Burbage South and Millstone Edges, looking at the history of climbing, on Sunday 31 May 2015, starting at 10.00am.
The eastern edges of the Peak District have been at the forefront of British climbing for well over a hundred years; this walk will visit some of the most famous climbing routes of past eras and modern times. It will be of interest to walkers and climbers who want to know more about the physical and social history of gritstone climbing in the Peak.
Mostly on good paths, but some uneven ground on approach to crags. One steep ascent and descent.
