The BMC Midlands Area Meeting will be held at the Old Edwardians Sports Club in Solihull on Wednesday 9 September 2015, starting at 8.00 pm.
Come along to our next gathering of Midlands climbers and walkers. The evening includes a discussion of local and national issues, a slideshow, a bar and food, so it should be a good night out.
Stanage Without Oxygen
As a replacement for George Cave, who was going to show us how to use digital mapping for expedition planning, we have Niall Grimes providing the evening’s entertainment. When he’s not busy with the business of producing award-winning BMC guidebooks, Niall, aka ‘Grimer’ has a neat sideline in stand-in stand-up comedy. So expect the unexpected when Niall presents ‘Stanage Without Oxygen’, which might have nothing at all to do with Stanage or anywhere else for that matter.
The area meetings are run by volunteers and are your chance to join in with debate and influence decisions about what happens in the Midlands as well as the rest of the country.
All are welcome; entry is free. Food will be provided, and the club has a licensed bar.
