Don’t miss the North West’s premier climbing get-together of the year! WiltonFest 2015 is on Saturday 5 September.
This year we’ll be setting up base camp in Wilton 2, to enable us to utilise the gun club’s hut, with free brews throughout the day and knowledgeable locals to point any Wilton newcomers at the best lines. Then later on it’s time to fire up the BBQ, crack open the beers, rack some brains with a fiendish quiz, dish out the raffle prizes and sit down to a Steve McClure slideshow as the sun goes down.
Activities start from 10am and include:
- Guided hill walk around the moors
- Guided bouldering tour
- Instructor-led sessions for new outdoor climbers
- Masterclasses by BMC ambassador Steve McClure
Online booking for instucutor-led sessions (£20) and masterclasses (£10) can be booked here.
Bring your own mug for brews / glass for beers, unless you’re happy drinking from a plastic cup, and a chair for the slideshow.
Festival-goers are free to camp in the quarry on Saturday night.
Parking is available at a variety of locations nearby on the day, including Wilton 4, which will kindly be opened by Bolton Rifle & Pistol Club as an additional parking area.
