The BMC Peak Area Meeting & AGM will take place at The Maynard in Grindleford on Wednesday 18 November 2015, starting at 7.30pm.
Come along to our next gathering of Peak climbers and walkers, to discuss the latest issues and get involved in the work of the BMC. The evening includes a discussion of local and national issues, a bar and food, and a quiz, so it should be a good night out.
The area meetings are run by volunteers and are your chance to join in with debate and influence decisions about what happens in the Peak and rest of the country.
Rebekah Newman from the Peak District National Park Authority will be attending the meeting to provide an update on the latest developments and answer questions. Rebekah will also have some ‘Stanage Stickers’ for sale along with some ring ouzel mugs and T-shirts, so bring some cash.
Area AGM
Elections will be taking place for various area officer and representative roles.
Annual Quiz
We will also be holding the annual quiz of fun and general chaos with amazing prizes!
Test yourself: try last year’s quiz (hosted by ukBouldering).
Hill walkers will be glad to know that Cath and Peter, our hill walking reps, will be contributing questions to this year’s quiz, so it won’t be all ‘name the route this handhold is on’.
All are welcome. Food will be provided.
