Members and non-members of the BMC are welcome to join us for an afternoon walk on Ilkley Moor on Monday 11 April.
In addition to having a great day in the hills, we hope that it will be a good opportunity for you to meet other like-minded people, and for us to learn from you how the BMC might better meet your hill walking needs.
The walk will be led by BMC Yorkshire Area Hill Walking Rep Paul Redding. We plan a 3-hour walk on Ilkley Moor, visiting some of its pre-historic monuments.
The walk will depart from the Wheatley Arms in Ben Rhydding at around 1.00pm. The hotel is also the venue for that evening’s BMC Yorkshire Area Meeting, so there will be an opportunity to relax/drink after the walk and before the meeting, which will focus on hill walking issues.
How to find the Wheatley Arms
The walk isopen to all, but under 18s need to be accompanied by a parent/guardian. We would love to see some families on the walk!
