If you have an interest in hill walking, come along to our special area meeting with a hill walking focus at The Wheatley Arms in Ben Rhydding on Monday 11 April 2016, starting at 7.30pm.
The meeting will include an open discussion on hill walking issues and future hill walking events, so come and let us know what you think are the key hill walking issues in the Yorkshire area, and how the BMC can become the natural home for hill walkers.
Our guest speaker is Chris Grogan, who in 2007 with her husband Tony devised A Dales Highway, a 90-mile walk across the glorious high country of the Yorkshire Dales; they are also authors of a number of guides to long distance paths in Yorkshire and Cumbria.
We will also have the latest information on the BMC Mend Our Mountains campaign, which includes raising funds for a repair project on Ingleborough’s Swine Tail path.
Cotswold Outdoor will have a display of hill walking gear and staff will be there to answer any questions.
BMC area meetings are run by volunteers and are your chance to join in with debate and influence decisions about what happens in your area as well as the rest of the country.
All are welcome. Food will be provided.
