The Outdoor City Adventure Book Festival will be held in Sheffield’s prestigious Central Library on 3-4 June 2016.
The Outdoor City Adventure Book Festival is a first for Sheffield Libraries and a wonderful opportunity for people who love outdoor adventure to spend two days immersed in literature, film, poetry and crafts. The event brings together the best of Sheffield Adventure Film Festival (ShAFF) with mountaineers and award winning adventure writers, Matt Dickinson and Sandy Allan.
And as if intimate film screenings and book talks by renowned adventurers aren’t enough, the festival also includes an exhibition of the nationally significant Alan Rouse Climbing Collection, adventure story time in the Children’s Library, poetry from Helen Mort, creative writing and craft sessions. Ideal for families, friends, visitors to the city, solo book worms or film bods alike, this event is set to inspire and enthral.
