The BMC Cymru Mid Wales Area Meeting will be held at The White Lion Hotel in Machynlleth on Tuesday 13 September 2016, starting at 7.00pm.
Come along to our next gathering of local climbers and walkers, to discuss the latest issues and get involved in the work of the BMC.
BMC area meetings are run by volunteers and are your chance to join in with debate and influence decisions about what happens in your area as well as the rest of the country.
Consultation on rebranding
The meeting will include a consultation on our recent rebranding proposal, and will be attended by BMC CEO Dave Turnbull, who will explain the background to the rebranding proposal in detail; this will be followed by an open discussion and Q&A session.
The views from the meeting will be fed back via Area Representatives to the National Council meeting on 17 September; National Council will then decide how to proceed based on the views and feedback received. Members are encouraged to attend the meeting to contribute to the debate.
Want to be the Cymru Mid Wales Area Secretary?
The area is looking to recruit a new secretary, one of the key volunteer roles within the area. So, if you’re interested in the role, contact Tony Ryan at the BMC office (tony@thebmc.co.uk, 0161 438 3334) to find out more about what it entails, or make yourself known to area chair Peter Trickey at the meeting on 13 September.
All are welcome; the BMC will provide food.
