Sir Chris Bonington and Ian Parnell, alongside compère Julie Summers will bring you ‘A Night on the Eiger’, at the Law Society in London on Tuesday 25 October 2016.
The trustees of Mountain Heritage Trust and Community Action Nepal invite you to an evening exploring the myth, history and dreams of the Eiger. The first ascent was made in 1858, whilst the notorious North Face was not climbed until 1938.
Doyen of British mountaineering, Chris Bonington, and extreme alpinist, journalist, and photographer, Ian Parnell, will share their fascination experiences on the mountain, bringing characters from the Eiger’s history of triumph and tragedy to life in an illustrated talk before a fine three-course dinner, lively auctions, raffle and Q&A session with Chris and Ian, compèred by Julie Summers.
