The BMC South West Area Meeting will be held at the Nova Scotia Hotel, Bristol on Saturday 25 March 2017, starting at 7.00pm.
Come along to our next gathering of climbers and walkers in the South West, to discuss the latest issues and get involved in the work of the BMC.
BMC area meetings are run by volunteers and are your chance to join in with debate and influence decisions about what happens in your area as well as the rest of the country.
There's a packed agenda (see attached document).
There will be a discussion on the motion of ‘no confidence’ in the BMC Executive Committee, which will be voted on at the BMC AGM on 22 April – members can also vote by proxy if they won’t be attending the AGM.
We recently appointed Simon Lee as commercial partnerships manager, and Simon will be at the area meeting to talk about and discuss affinity partnerships. Hill walking development officer Carey Davies will also attend the meeting, to hear feedback from the last Mend Our Mountains campaign, which proved so successful last year, in advance of planning for a follow-up initiative to launch this year.
All are welcome; the BMC will provide food.
