Andy Tomlinson will be sharing his expert medical knowledge of how to stay fit and well when trekking and climbing at altitude, on Tuesday 10 October 2017.

Rucksack Club member Andy Tomlinson has worked and travelled in Nepal many times over the last 30 years. He holds the Diploma in Mountain Medicine and his most recent visit to Nepal was in 2015 as a medical volunteer at the International Porter Protection Group (IPPG) Rescue Post in the Gokyo Valley.

Andy will cover all aspects of how to maximise staying fit and well, whilst trekking and climbing at altitude, drawing on his experiences of providing acute care to fellow travellers over the years. In addition he will cover issues related to porters, whose health and welfare is so often key to the overall success of such trips.
