The BMC South West Area Meeting will be held at the Quay Climbing Centre, Exeter on Saturday 27 January 2018, starting at the earlier than usual time of 5.00pm.
Come along to Exeter for our next gathering of South West climbers and walkers and get involved in the BMC.
Area meetings are run by volunteers and provide an opportunity for you to discuss issues and influence decisions affecting climbers and walkers locally and nationally.
BMC Organisational Review
Discussions will continue on the recommendations of the independent organisational review group (ORG) following consideration of feedback provided by members since the group’s report was published in November. A paper by the ORG will set out the feedback and the group’s conclusions from that feedback, and will also include an implementation plan and timeline.
BMC representation on Mountain Training England
Mountain Training England (MTE) is proposing that the BMC reduces its number of voting members from four to one on MTE’s Council, achieving voting parity with MTE’s other member organisations. This proposal was postponed from the November area meeting due to a lack of time for discussion. Background information on this proposal
All are welcome; food will be provided by the BMC.
The Quay Climbing Centre is hosting the meeting, so why not get there early and fit in a climbing session too?
