Come and join a hill walk exploring some of the hills and dales of the White Peak, in the south of the Peak District National Park, on Sunday 16 September 2018.

The walk, to be peer-led by BMC Peak Area Hill Walking Volunteer Reps Peter Judd & Austin Knott, will be around 9.5 miles in length (with an optional 2 mile extension) and aims to visit Wetton Hill, the Sugar Loaf, Milldale, Dove Dale and Hall Dale (optionally Thor’s Cave too), with some excellent views and sights to see along the way.  It'll be a grand day and a good way to meet other BMC hill walking members!

The walk is offered as part of the BMC South Peak Limestone Festival that takes place over the same weekend.

Come prepared for some steep slopes, traversing rough, sometimes rocky and slippery ground travelling along mostly, but not always, good paths. Participants are advised to wear grippy hill walking footwear, warm and weatherproof clothing, and bring food and drink to last the day.

Under 18s are welcome, but only if in the company of a parent or legal guardian who takes responsibility for them.

Similarly well-behaved dogs are also welcome, but must be kept on short, fixed leads at all times please!

Meeting point & start time
Meet outside the Royal Oak Inn, Wetton, Derbyshire, DE6 2AF (Grid Ref: SK 109 553) at 9.50 am for a 10 am start.
