Sheffield Adventure Film Festival is proud to announce that the British Mountaineering
Council (BMC) will present the 2019 festival, taking place on 22-24 March. The event
coincides with the BMC’s 75th anniversary, and festival-goers are invited to join the
celebrations with special discounts available to BMC members. ShAFF is also launching
an exciting new opportunity for fans of the festival to become Friends of ShAFF, earning
rewards whilst helping create more inspirational film experiences for Sheffield’s schools
year-round.
BMC events during ShAFF include:
● BMC 75th birthday bash - a boisterous evening of films, personalities, and star climbers,
hosted by Niall Grimes, climber, storyteller, and mischief maker.
● BMC 75th and Weekender party - the Outdoor City Weekender is an event of epic
proportions… and so is Saturday night’s BMC and Weekender party!
● BMC Women in Adventure film competition - a special screening of this year’s entries,
announcement of the winners, plus time to network.
● BMC films - a selection of mountain adventure films supported by the BMC throughout
the festival programme.
