The BMC North West Area Meeting will take place at Sedgley Park Rugby Club in Whitefield, north Manchester on Tuesday 4 June 2019, starting at 7.30pm (food from 7.00pm).
Come to our next gathering of North West climbers and walkers and get involved in the BMC.
Area meetings are run by volunteers and provide an opportunity for you to discuss issues and influence decisions affecting climbers and walkers locally and nationally, and to meet like-minded people and enjoy a sociable night out.
Guest speaker for the evening is globe-trotting climber Dominic Oughton, who will give a talk on his 2018 ascent of North America Wall on Yosemite Valley's El Capitan.
Local litter pick – venue suggestions welcome
Area volunteers are looking to arrange an event in support of the BMC Hills 2 Oceans campaign. If you have a suggestion for a location in the North West Area which would benefit from a plastics / litter pick, please contact Volunteer Area Hill Walking Rep Steve Charles, so that we can discuss and decide on a venue at the June meeting.
All are welcome; food and drink will be provided by the BMC, available from 7.00pm.
The venue has an extensive free car park and is close to the motorway network (M60, Junction 17), and about twenty minutes’ walk from the Metrolink stations at Whitefield and Besses o’ th’ Barn.
