The BMC Lakes Area Meeting will be held at Kong Adventure in Keswick on Wednesday 11 September 2019, starting at 7.30pm (food from 7.00pm).
Area meetings are run by volunteers and provide an opportunity for you to discuss issues and influence decisions affecting climbers and walkers locally and nationally, and to meet like-minded people and enjoy a sociable night out.
The September meeting will include an update on the work of the BMC Organisational Development Group (ODG) – see attached paper. You can also have your say on the BMC Strategic Plan 2020-2024.
Guest speaker for the evening is Amy Bray (Cumbria’s Greta Thunberg?), who will talk about changing attitudes to waste. Another Way is a charity founded by 16-year-old Amy in January 2019, stemming from her passion for the planet and especially the oceans.
All are welcome; food will be provided by the BMC, available from 7.00pm.
Kong Adventure is hosting the meeting, so why not get there early and fit in a climbing session too?
