An opportunity for an excellent walk and a chance to meet up with other BMC members!
BMC members and friends are warmly invited to join a peer led hill walk (hike) on Saturday 14 August, from Tegg’s Nose Visitor Centre, near Macclesfield, making use of part of the delightful Gritstone Trail, ascending Tegg’s Nose and Shutlingsloe, as well as visiting Ridgegate Reservoir, along the way.
In line with current BMC event guidance places MUST be booked in advance (see link lower down).
The walk is approx. 18.5 km (11.5 miles) in length with 670 m (2.200 ft) of ascent, mostly using established paths and tracks, some are a little rough, eroded and with steep drops alongside in a few places.
BMC members and friends are most welcome! Under 18's too (but only when accompanied and supervised throughout by a responsible adult). Sorry, no dogs on this occasion, we’re using an area of access land where dogs are expressly excluded by the landowner.
