The London & South East AGM & Area Meeting will be held as a hybrid meeting, in person at the prestigious headquarters of the Alpine Club in Shoreditch, London, and online on Zoom, on Tuesday 19 October 2021, starting at 7pm.
Those who attend in person will be able to view Everest: By Those Who Were There, an exhibition celebrating the centennial of the 1921 reconnaissance of Mount Everest and the first attempts to reach the summit in 1922 and 1924.
AREA AGM
The October meeting is also the 2021 Area AGM, and will include elections for various volunteer roles. There is a vacancy for a Clubs Representative.

HOW TO ATTEND IN PERSON
Due to capacity limits at the venue, all those wishing to attend in person are required book a ticket via Eventbrite.
Drink and crisps will be available; to make the processing of payment simple, we are asking attendees to purchase a drinks voucher in advance when they book a ticket, as we will not be able to take payment on the night.
Access to the Alpine Club is from 6:15pm for viewing the exhibition. The AGM will start at 7pm followed by the Area Meeting. There will also be a short amount of time after the meeting to view the exhibition. We are very grateful to the Alpine Club for hosting the meeting and keeping the Everest exhibition up especially for the meeting.
How to get to the Alpine Club
The in-person element of the meeting is under constant review and subject to COVID restrictions. Should we have to cancel we will inform you as soon as possible and arrange a refund.
