Almost a story of 2 halfs really!
I spent the first 30 years of my life living close to the Peak Distict yet had no idea what climbing was and never went out into "the country". I decided in 2000 that I needed a new start and moved to Spain to "retire". Little did I know that Rich Mayfield was living close by in a large green landrover. We met and within a few weeks he had moved in! I was given a quick introduction to climbing and in 2003 The Orange House was born!
After 6 happy years we both realised we missed the UK too much so moved back to Devon. Now I run The Orange House whilst looking out over Dartmoor, not a bad life really.
