The BMC FUNdamentals of Climbing workshops are aimed at anyone who coaches or leads climbing sessions, indoors or outside.
The FUNdamentals of Climbing 3 builds on the FUNdamentals of Climbing 2 , which is a pre-requisite for attending this workshop. The third workshop looks at types of physical training for climbing, helping coaches identify appopriate physcial training regimes.The BMC also delivers the FUNdamentals of Climbing 1workshops. All three workshops form part of the training pathway for Mountain Training's Assistant Climbing Coach and Climbing Coach Awards.

an overview of how the body's energy systems work
theory and practicals on training regimes to develop strength, endurance and strength endurance
body conditioning exercises
