Want to start climbing outdoors? The BMC has joined forces with the Alpkit Big Shakeout to offer a an indoors to outdoors bouldering course
Rock Out is the perfect choice for anyone who already has an interest in climbing indoors – either bouldering or roped climbing – and wants to make that first move outside.
The course at The Big Shakeout is run by Claire Youdale of Inside Out and has a specific focus on bouldering. There are 1 day or 1/2 day options available and the course aims to cover:
mat placement
spotting
basic techniques
guidebooks
bouldering ethics
etiquette
the outdoor environment.

What do I need?
No experience outdoors is required, and all climbing equipment will be provided on the day. There will be a goody bag included with each course.
