The next BMC North West Area Meeting and AGM will be held on Monday 27 January 2014, at the Black Dog, Belmont, starting at 7.30 pm.
Discussion of local and national issues will include a suggestion to place some bolt belays in Wilton 1, and updates on the progress of the new Lancashire climbing and bouldering guidebooks.
It’s also the Area AGM, so you can put yourself forward for one of the volunteer posts if you’d like to get more involved in the work of the BMC.
BMC Technical Officer Dan Middleton is bringing our mobile equipment testing machine, so if you have any old karabiners or quickdraw slings you'd like to see destroyed bring them along and we’ll see what it takes to break them; or if you’re not sure whether to retire a piece of equipment, come and get Dan’s advice.
The BMC lays on some food, and the meeting is held in a pub, so it should be a good night out.
All are welcome.
