The next BMC North West Area Meeting will be held on Monday 26th January 2015, starting at 7:30pm at the Black Dog, Belmont.
Come along to our gathering of North West climbers and walkers to discuss the latest issues and get involved in the work of the BMC. All are welcome.
One topic for discussion is the development of a NW area policy document on the replacement of fixed gear and bolted lower offs (an extension/revision of the guidance on fixed gear replacement that was previously agreed). As a starting point for discussion a new draft document has been attached to this meeting page.
Another topic is the desired BMC response to the theft/vandalism of Rossendale and Pendle MRT equipment.
On a lighter note Paul Evans will talk about NW Facebook and Guidebook photos.
It should also be noted that a regular item on hillwalking issues has been added to the standard agenda.
Les A has provided a summary of the Access and Guidebook situation in Q4 2014. This has been added to the web page for the meeting of 24/11/2014.
Other topics of particular note will be notified here and added to the agenda as they become known. If there are topics you wish to have discussed please let us know.
As usual, sandwiches and chips will be provided by the BMC so it should be a good night out. With a decent turnout it will provide a good opportunity to meet up with some mates.
