BMC South Wales/Cymru Area meeting, to update local climbers on recent topics, and for climbers to bring up points of discussion.

National Eisteddfodd 2010 summary - mountaineering, climbing and hill walking was represnted by MLTW, clubs and the BMC at this annual event. Rhys Dafis will provide a report, and a plan for next years event.
Cwmaman Bolt Workshop summary - a quick update on the day ran in conjunction with the BMC and the South Wales Bolt Fund, replacing rusting bolts on sport routes.
Minchin Hole Access Gains - the BMC and local climbers have been working with National Trust to get access back to a handful of routes at this crag. Limited topos available for you to take away on the night!
Southgate Sport Route Developments
Over the past few months, the BMC and National Trust have been contacted over new bolt protected sport climbs around the Southgate area on the Gower, which were not directly considered as part of the bolt policy of 2000. The point of this meeting is to discuss recent developments of the Southgate area, and other sections of the coast not considered in the bolt policy. The meeting is not to re-write the policy for Gower & South East Wales, but specifically focussing on the Southgate area on Gower.
Meetings have been held (September) with the Sian Musgrave (National Trust), Elfyn Jones(BMC) and Stuart Llewellyn(local volunteer) where nesting restrictions and any conservation points were discussed, for crags from Minchin Hole to Bacon Hole.
A few slides will accompany this topic, to outline the different sections of this intricate coast line.
