Due to concerns about transmission of Coronavirus, the crag clean-up scheduled for Saturday 28 March at the BMC-owned Craig Bwlch y Moch at Tremadog has been cancelled.

Craig Bwlch y Moch at Tremadog is one of the most popular and frequented trad climbing venues in Wales and it's also owned and managed for climbers by the BMC. In previous years the BMC has organised the very popular “Tremfest” that helped with much of this work, however the logistics and safety concerns of organising and supervising a full-blown climbing festival at this location, while also carrying out essential conservation work is proving difficult. We are instead organising a “crag spring clean” on Saturday 28 March of both Craig Bwlch y Moch and the nearby Craig Pant Ifan.
How you can help
We need volunteers to help with various tasks to make access to and climbing on these crags a bit easier. Amongst the myriad of tasks that need to be carried out are removing and moving fallen and felled timber, re-establishing the path to the Meshach and Grim Wall area, collecting wind-blown litter following the recent storms, trimming vegetation from the various approach paths and also removing invasive vegetation which is encroaching on some pretty rare and protected plants
What to bring
Please turn up with suitable footwear, gloves and hand tools only. Ideally bring secateurs, sickles shovels, mattocks, bowsaws and similar for the work that needs doing. Due to insurance and safety issues, we cannot allow volunteers to use power tools such as chainsaws during this event, but we will have qualified contractors on hand during the day with suitable power tools to assist when needed.
Simple refreshments will be available free of charge to those who turn up and volunteer their time, thanks to the BMC and to Gareth and Jo who now run the Eric Jones Café.
