The BMC North East AGM & Area Meeting will be held as a hybrid meeting, in person at the Newcastle Climbing Centre, and online on Zoom, on Thursday 21 October 2021, starting at 7pm.
Come to our next gathering of North East climbers and walkers and get involved in the BMC.
We're pleased to be able to invite members to our first in-person meeting since the Covid-19 pandemic began, and we have also retained the facility for joining the meeting online.
Area Meetings are run by volunteers and provide an opportunity for you to discuss issues and influence decisions affecting climbers and walkers locally and nationally, and to meet like-minded people and enjoy a sociable night out (or in). All are welcome.
The October meeting is also the Area AGM, and will include elections for a range of volunteer roles. Both Area Representative roles are currently vacant, and the Area is keen to fill these important positions.
Guest speaker: Jon Punshon
Jon will give a presentation about a traverse of the Cuillin Ridge on the Isle of Skye, one of the best and most sought-after mountaineering challenges in Britain.
Meeting agenda and additional information will be added to this listing nearer the meeting date.
