The BMC Midlands Area Meeting will be held online via Zoom on Thursday 21 April 2022, starting at 7.30pm.

Come to our next (virtual) gathering of Midlands climbers and walkers, and get involved in the BMC.

Area Meetings are run by volunteers and provide an opportunity for you to discuss issues and influence decisions affecting climbers and walkers locally and nationally. All are welcome.

Meeting agenda and further information will be added to this listing nearer the meeting date.

GUEST SPEAKER: MOHAMMED DHALECH

Following the meeting, there will be a talk by OS Get Outdoors Champion and BMC Equity Steering Group member Mohammed Dhalech, who will share his passion for engaging Black and Minority Ethnic communities in accessing the countryside and outdoors.

AREA VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Following the 2021 Area AGM, there is still a vacancy for an Area Chair – see attached role description.

If you are interested in this volunteer opportunity, and would like to find out how to put yourself forward for co-option, please contact BMC Local Areas Co-ordinator, Tony Ryan: tony@thebmc.co.uk; 0161 438 3334.

HOW TO ATTEND ONLINE

Members who have provided us with an email address (and haven’t unsubscribed from receiving BMC newsletters) will receive an email containing a hyperlink for the Zoom meeting, usually about 10 days before the meeting. If you do not receive this email, and wish to attend the meeting, you can request the Zoom hyperlink by emailing Local Areas Co-ordinator Tony Ryan on tony@thebmc.co.uk – please include your membership number; it would also be helpful if you could advise us whether you wish your email address to be added to your member record, so that we can send you invitations to future Area Meetings.
