Join us on a varied walk with fine views from Rushton Spencer across the Dane, led by BMC Peak Area Hill Walking Rep Peter Judd, as part of the Staffordshire Moorlands Walking Festival.
The 8.5-mile walk will offer fine views of the River Dane and its surrounds, seen from both high up on surrounding hillsides and also down alongside the river itself. We’ll use mostly field and riverside paths, with the occasional muddy section (especially if there’s been rain) and even part of the Gritstone Trail, to explore this quiet corner area that’s half-in and half-out of the Peak District National Park. There’s even a picturesque ruined barn and a beautiful little church to delight the eye along the way!
BMC members and those interested in learning more about the BMC are most welcome!
