The BMC South West Area Meeting will be held at the Quay Climbing Centre, Exeter on Saturday 8 June 2019, starting at 7.00pm.
Come along to Exeter for our next gathering of South West climbers and walkers and get involved in the BMC.
Area meetings are run by volunteers and provide an opportunity for you to discuss issues and influence decisions affecting climbers and walkers locally and nationally, and to meet like-minded people and enjoy a sociable night out.
Guest speaker for the evening is BMC Clubs Committee Chair Peter Salenieks, who will give an illustrated talk about climbing the world’s highest active volcano, Ojos del Salado (6887 m), which sits on the Chile-Argentina border in the central Andes. The presentation will describe the first Jagged Globe client expedition and include advice on planning & preparation, alongside stories from a small though experienced pathfinder group; quite literally a journey from summit to sea.
All are welcome; food will be provided by the BMC.
