The BMC North West Area will hold an area meeting / open forum on Saturday 14 September 2013, as part of BMC WiltonFest.
The plan is to have an informal open forum over a burger and a beer, starting around 6pm, where members can meet BMC staff and regional volunteers to discuss local and national issues.
Guidebook gurus Les Ainsworth and Ian Carr will be on hand to talk about progress on the new Lancashire guidebook.
You can quiz Geoff Mann, Chair of the Wilton Management Group, about nesting peregrines and relationships with the local shooting club.
Regional access questions, such as ‘what’s happening at Hoghton?’ can be directed at Les Ainsworth (Mr. Lancashire) and BMC Regional Access Officer, Rob Dyer.
New BMC Regional Development Officer, Jane Edwards can tell you what we’re doing to support indoor climbers making the transition to outdoors and also to encourage club membership.
BMC Quarries Development Manager, Neil Hewertson will bring you up to speed on the latest activity and progress on working with the quarry industry to promote recreational after-use opportunities.
And you can tell Area Chair Nick Bond just what members want (in addition to burgers and beer) from area meetings.
