Join us for a 9-mile walk in the Surrey hills on Saturday 29 September 2018.
This walk will provide a great opportunity to get out in the local countryside and meet with other BMC members whilst enjoying a fine hill walk.

Total Ascent: 1,400 feet
Meet at 12:30 for a figure of eight hill walk visiting two sections of the North Downs ridge across the Surrey Hills, an area of outstanding natural beauty. Leaving the station heading south-west the route follows a track through Ashcombe Wood and across Ranmore Common to join the North Downs Way at the elevated Denbies Wine Estate with views to the south towards the high point of Leith Hill. A descent is made through the vineyard to arrive back at the busy A24 and the foot of Box Hill. Box Hill will be ascended starting at the popular ‘stepping stones’. The steep ascent of 400 feet finishes at the trig point with views across the Weald to the distant South Downs stretching out across the horizon. A steady descent is made across Juniper Top and a visit to the listed Broadwood’s Folly before returning to the station.
